I can't really remember what the movie was, but I'm sure it was some Disney thing - not Bambi. I had "prepared" her - told her the story, etc. We sat on the aisle in case we'd need to leave in the middle for the bathroom, etc. We got there early. We bought the popcorn. The lights went down (Amy: "It's dark in here"), that huge screen illuminated (19 years ago when theaters had one movie and a honking big screen to show it on) and the music came up, loud and dramatic. And apparently terrifying, as Amy leaped to her feet (a short distance admittedly), her already huge eyes bugged out. She yelled, "I'M GETTING OUT OF HERE!!!" and booked it up the aisle and out the back door, little legs churning, popcorn flying. I didn't' catch her until she was out the front door of the theater and almost into Mass Ave traffic. She wouldn't try again until she was seven. :) Glad you are careful about what movies you let LG see... it's crazy what some kids see at such tender ages... you go, dad!
